Günther Oberhollenzer, about Katharina Mörth

In his essay ‘Hard Matter and Delicate Form,’ curator Günther Oberhollenzer analyses the tension between the archaic power of materials and the sensitive design of Katharina Mörth's work. He describes the sculptural process as a dialogue that goes beyond pure craftsmanship and invites the viewer to engage in a haptic experience.

Dr. Anna Spohn, about Katharina Mörth

In her essay ‘Boundaries without Borders,’ art historian Dr. Anna Spohn explores the central motif of the delicate envelope and the cocoon in Mörth’s work. She highlights how the artist pushes the resilience of steel and stone to its limits, making the physical ambivalence between protection and confinement tangibly felt within the sculptural space.
